Ball Watch Co. 18 size 17 jewel open face lever-set Official B of LF Standard (Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen).  Very desirable Ball-Hamilton brotherhood marked watch with a sunk-seconds enamel dial features the brotherhood letters in eye-catching red, silver, and green colors.  Watch is housed in a 25 year gold-filled Keystone J. Boss case.  Movement serial number is 458681.

Ticking somewhat sluggishly as it winds down and I think likely would benefit from a cleaning and oiling.  Very nice looking movement with good color and luster.  Dial is beautiful with just some mild edge flaking under the bezel between 12 and 1 O'clock, a few tiny nicks to the rim of the seconds-bit hole, and a few fine glaze scratches which are close to negligible.  Case is evenly worn with loss to most of its engraving detail on the rear, some shallow dents or dings to rear, and case cuvette has wear through to brass at its upper right near where it opens.  Good glass crystal.
