Elgin Watch Co. 18 size 7 jewel keywind and keyset with movement private label signed "Wray, Bradford".  Very scarce early export product made for the English market, it is quite unusual to see Elgins of this mid-1870s vintage with export private label marking.  Watch appears likely all original being fronted by a sunk-seconds enamel unsigned dial and being housed in an English made A.L. Dennison marked case bearing Birmingham hallmarks for 1876.  Movement serial number is 308673.

Running and a nice looking movement with good gilt color.  Dial is beautiful with only a minuscule hairline at bottom edge below the seconds-register and a few minuscule edge nicks under the bezel.  Case is evenly worn with only some minimal traces of engine turning remaining to its rear.  Case lift spring for the rear is either missing or broken, and rear lid has a dent at the upper left perimeter of its rear and a mild shallow dent to the area a little above and right of center.  Thick glass crystal has some scattered scratches and nicks.
